Status Update on Rebate Processing

Thank you for your continued support of and participation in the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) Whole House Rebate Program, a part of Energy Upgrade California. 

 

As you know, we have been transitioning from the Pilot Program to the Full Program implemented by Build It Green. As with any new process change, there are adjustments and growing pains. We understand that the turn-around and processing time for applications has been too long. Our goal is to complete application reviews within 72 hours. We have recently resolved several IT, data quality, and staffing limitations that were delaying reviews. We are working aggressively to remove remaining bottlenecks by the end of August. We apologize for the delay and ask for your patience as we continually improve and work to optimize our processes.

 

We are also taking steps to help Participating Contractors submit better data. Please join us Wednesday, 8/10, at 3:30 p.m. for a webinar to review best practices in job submittals. Our goal is to help you get your applications approved the first time, thereby reducing overall approval time, your frustration, and the review backlog.
